fanelrad I'm going to be straight up here and say that my enjoyment of this work is accompanied by a real envy here as a musician in Phexionesystems' achievements with this album. It's glistening without being glossy, textured without being grating, and spacious without being vacuous. The push and pull of implied polyrhythms and the singing tension of scales unfamiliar to my ears are balanced with an acute instinct for, well, what sounds good. I'm going to be coming back to this a lot I think. Favorite track: New Follower.
